You can't see the sun actually set from here but the way it illuminated the nearby rocks and moved across them was lovely to witness. It had rained a little before our arrival so we didn't climb all the way to the top but even most of the way turned out to be quite enough.

Nice & easy trails towards mountain. Nice to see from different perspectives both at base and on the rock. Half day max.

Easily accessible, not taxing and allows you to go as far as you like. This walk can get busy as it is really the entry spot on the way into Sedona. Great views and if you continue around Bell Rock you get a great perspective and a slightly different landscape.

If you can only do one hike, this is the one to do. I've been here three times and this one we do everytime.

There just isn't a more unique rock formation than this one! I think it definitely proves nature is hard at work creating before our very eyes. I took a short walk on the trail leading up to the rock too which was nice. The trail is very well maintained and easily accessible from the main entry from SR 179. Please... More

Did three hikes today (Cathedral's Rock and Devil's Bridge) and this one isn't the best but was worth it. Very calm path from the parking lot to the start of the climb and it wasn't marked extremely well. Once at the climb, it's hard to see how far you should really go up while still being on the trail, but... More

Our first hike in Sedona was on Little Horse Trail which took us to a number of fabulous views of Bell Rock as well as other interesting red rock formations.

This is where it all begins (sort of) on your drive into Sedona from I-17 and Highway 179. Once you see Bell Rock it will pull you in like a magnet and you'll be totally happy with your decision to stop, walk over to the landmark formation, and climb up the rounded slopes as far as you feel comfortable in... I guess you might be able to get to this rock and hike about, we enjoyed the view from afar as it's an unmistakable part of the landscape.
