We decided to hike to the trail end and beyond. Going on past the end of the trail gives new views that are worth the effort. The hike doesn't get harder past the "crack" just more of the same type of rock and trail. There is shade in a few spots up high, KEEP GOING! Highly recommended on your own,... More

Cathedral Rock was an amazing hike! It can get steep at times, but remains a moderate climb. The views at the top are stunning and there is even a "End of Trail" sign to let you know you have arrived. We saw several kids younger than our 11 year old make the climb, but I wouldn't bring a child younger... More

Cathedral rock was a great hike. It is good for families as there were various areas that you could stop and still get great views without it being too strenuous. It is more difficult to get to the top but pretty doable for the average person. Really nice views from the top. You could take side trails also from this... More

This is a must see when in Sedona! Beautiful views and the red rocks were amazing! Some parts of the hike were a little hard towards the top.

My parents visited Sedona years ago. They said they loved Sedona so much that they didn't take time for the Grand Canyon. I can definitely say that the time spent there was well worth it! There is a paid parking place.

Cathedral Rock is in a beautiful park, proving nature is awesome. It has a lake that reflects the rocks and it's breath-taking. Walk on until you come to a platform of red rocks. Sit as I did there and meditate on the beauty of our maker's creation. Continuing on through the park one comes to Buddah Beach and there are... More

The hike up is moderate with good trail markers. The top section is steeper but still moderate. If you can arrange to go 2 hours before sunset it will be well worth your while.
