Sedona is one of the best places in the US for star gazing due to its altitude, low light pollution, low humidity, and 3 other reasons. My daughter hosted me here for a really unique experience. We arrived at the appointed time of 8:15 PM....More

Stars were so numerous it was hard to see the individual constellations. It was amazing, but the moon was especially bright and cut down on the view a little.

You can behold the glory and majesty of the universe. It was purely magical to observe the stars in the milky way, and to watch them communicate to one another as if we are existing within a huge brain. Absolutely amazing. Will never forget it.

There are no streetlights, so there is no competing light to just star gaze. We set out most evenings and just gazed at the stars. It would have been great to have a telescope and be able to view all the stars.

Our astronomer guide was very knowledgeable, but I wish we had spent more time looking through the telescope. The night I went, there was a ratio of about a dozen people per telescope, and we got a chance to look at the Moon, Saturn, Mars,...More

Wonderful time out and would do it again.... peaceful due to late start, remote location (not too hard to find), and overwhelming focus on looking at the stars, This was a LOT of fun and the astronomer we had was so learned, former professor, who...More
