Beautiful trail (just a few too many bikes for a quiet hike). Bring water if you plan to walk a distance. Spring allowed us to see many flowers and the trail twists and turns.

After hiking in the morning,. we added this on the spur of the moment in the afternoon since we had some time to spare. The trail starts out easy but gradually becomes a little more difficult with a climb. We stayed on the trail until its natural conclusion at chicken point, but there are alternate deviations to the Chapel of... More

With the exception of a relatively small parking area, this hiking trail has almost everything to recommend it. There are bathrooms and parking machines at the trail head. The trail dips and twists, creating interesting contrasting views of multiple striking rock formations visible both in the distance and close at hand, particularly at Chicken rock. It may have the best... More

Yesterday my wife and I hiked the Little Horse Trail back to Chicken Point. It was a fabulous first time hiking experience and the weather was incredible. The rock formations and mountains were truly awe inspiring. Make sure to take a camera because there are endless photo opportunities of God's handiwork. If there was one negative it would be when... The Little Horse Trail is a relatively easy hike up to Chicken Point. Terrific views of Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Two Nuns, etc.... We took our time, as we have two kids, ages 6 and 8. Lots of desert vegetation, some shade and varied terrain made this a fantastic hike. I just wish we had more time!

This was the first thing we did when we arrived in Sedona. The round trip took us about two hours, and that included about 20 minutes of us just taking it all in when we got to Chicken Point. This is a fantastic, easy hike and provides some incredible views!!

We had a wonderful hike on Little Horse Trail. We went to the parking lot a little before sunrise, at approximately ten to 6:00, and there was no one in the lot. With there being no other hikers or bikers, we were able to hike at a very leisurely pace, take as many pictures as we wanted, and immerse ourselves... More

My wife and I went on this hike today. This was by far the most beautiful hike that we found while in Sedona. When you get to the end of this trail you will enjoy a view from a large group of very large flat round rocks. You will be able have a panoramic view of all of the beautiful... More

This was a relatively easy couple mile hike in (one way) to a spectacular viewpoint at Chicken Rock. Really nice trail, mostly well marked (a couple places were a little confusing which way to go). Great for families and kids. Beautiful plants and cacti along the path, and some really great geology as well. Easy pay parking ($5 about). There... More

Ok, my girls are not "outdoorsy" teenagers but loved hiking the Little Horse Train to Chicken Point! You don't feel your life is in danger but you get a sense of accomplishment if you go ahead and make it all the way up :) It was cool when we went...so perfect! You must layer - hot in places and cold... More
