One of the vortexes. Easy access and parking. Worthwhile to take a quick trip to see the views. Don't spend a lot of time here but take time to enjoy the scenery.

Get there early, park 1/4 mi before reaching main parking area. Then take trail up and to the left to peak. You'll have quiet moments of witnessing others doing prayers/yoga and your own inner stillness...then it happens. Pastels in AM, oranges in PM, amazing transformation...More

This is probably the most accessible place for some of the most gorgeous views of Sedona.(still tough for wheelchairs). Approximately 4 minutes from the road, to walk up a small hill, to have it open up into beautiful views. There are vortexes in the area...More

We did this one on one of the hottest days in the area. I think it was 104 deg F while we were walking this one. This is not an easy trail. The altitude and drop offs makes this one for people who can walk...More

Our jeep tour driver took a detour and headed up the Mesa to help us find the Airport Vortex. FUN! and yes, we did feel the energy. :)

Take a drive up the steep, winding road to the highest vantage spot in West Sedona to see as far as the eye can see. It's a great view of West Sedona!

You can see all of sedona's big sites on this hike including bell rock and cathedral rock. The trail is easy/ moderate but provides a good overall view of the city. Do see civilization and get close to airport but still worth it

We drove up well after sunset to experiment with some night landscape pictures and got some great results. The parking lot was empty and there is an honor box to put the three dollar fee. We also took the walk up the saddle in the...More

This vortex area was a short drive from our hotel. Parking is available. A short walk got us to where we had an awesome view of the sunrise and surrounding area. Loved it!

This is a moderate hike of about 3.5 miles with moderate elevation gain and approximately 2.3 hours. The views are from an elevation that allows you to see not only most of the surrounding beautiful mountains but the city of Sedona. Beware when you are...More

The vortex parking lot is right by the vortex. You simply walk up a hill, about 100 ft high. Easy. The airport parking lot is about 1/4 mile up hill on the road from the vortex parking lot. There is a trail that leads down... More

Can you drive a 30 foot motor home to the top? Don't think we could do the hike.

There is one corner about 1/2 way up which would be a little tight if the traffic is heavy . It is next to the trail head., Which tends to get crowded.

Hello everyone. I have some questions about the Sedona area, but let me preface them by saying, my wife and I are city slickers from NYC and the only time we've been across the Mississippi...was in New Orleans. So we know absolutely nothing about the area. This July we are packing the kids in the car and heading west. After pit stops in Memphis and Albuquerque, we are planning on spending a day and night in Sedona before heading out to the Grand Canyon. We know nothing about Sedona and just picked a name on the map. We are not hikers or honestly in decent physical shape and would really like any tips you have on where we can take a walk thru nature and if possible, see a nice desert sunset. If it helps, our kids are 16,8 and 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
