Scenic drive up to mesa and then breathtaking view of Sedona and surrounding area. Even if limited on time, don't miss this scenic overlook.

THis is a great place to photograph Sedona. The view is amazing and covers the whole town with the red rocks in the background. The overlook can be found off Airport Road, but just before you get to the airport. Parking is very close by....More

This never gets old I do this every time I visit. It can be crowded but everyone gets a view. Very calming.

Locals warned me - this is a busy spot at sunset. It's a bit of climb, but easily accessible and there was probably 30 people there the evening I visited. So if you want a quiet sunset, this isn't the place. Thunder mountain trail/head was...More

This was our first stop on our trip to Sedona. Worth the $3. Quick little 1/2 mile walk to the vortex at the bottom. Don't forget to save your receipt and come back for the sunset.

Went here to watch sunset based on a locals recommendation and many online recommendations. Maybe we just didn’t hit a good night, but the sunset scenery was eh. Very very crowded. Would try somewhere more secluded next time

This is probably one of the easiest vortexes to get to. You have great views of Sedona from the top.

I was told to go to this vantage point by some locals and it provided a spectacular view of an amazing sunset in 2017. You pay a minimal amount to park, and there's a bit of a walk/hike, but it's worth it.

After a long day of hiking, we only walked part of this trail which overlooked the town of Sedona. The views were great, the trail is well-maintained and would be a good place for children to hike. Good parking at top, as the lower parking...More

It's not that it's terrible. But there are so many other trails out there that are so much better. The destination? Again, there are so many better destinations. When I consider the trails at Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon, then 2 stars seems about...More

You can actually drive up and hike down ~ or park at the bottom and hike up. The Airport Mesa is actually a really good place to see the sunset, too. AND - the entire canyon is "sacred" and there are hundreds of trails in... More

The vortex parking lot is right by the vortex. You simply walk up a hill, about 100 ft high. Easy. The airport parking lot is about 1/4 mile up hill on the road from the vortex parking lot. There is a trail that leads down... More
