This is a pretty steep hill leading out of town. Many jeep tours use this road. Otherwise, it's pretty quiet. Good parking area, several trail options here.

Great vistas from the road, must have high clearance vehicle and it takes a couple of hours, but the pay off is wonderful. Great views of Sedona.

Schenebly Hill Road is amazing for its' views and its' bumps. If your GPS tells you it is the shortest route from Sedona to Flagstaff, it is correct, DO NOT TAKE IT unless you have a very high clearance 4x4. Years ago I could go...More

I would suggest looking at YouTube videos before driving the dirt road part. It is a very rough road. Nice views from the parking area at the end of the paved road.

Don't drive the road unless you have an SUV or 4 wheel drive. Take time to stop along the way and enjoy the awesome environment. Enjoy!

However, there has been imposed a minimum distance between the bottom of your car and the road, which, on this trip, prevented us from traversing the road. You are next to a huge drop off, which is frightening to many.

I am not a fan of heights, but was persuaded by my Flagstaff son to ride the Schnebly Hill Road. Views are beautiful, road is pretty rugged. It's not for sissies like me, but I am glad I did it, once!

An easy way to view some of the beautiful rock formations is to drive yourself down Schnebly Hill Road, take some of the residential streets and get up close and personal with the formations. You get a much better view than off the main highway...More

Assume you mean Jeep Compass? Anyway, as noted by someone else, 8" just enough, but the drive will be very slow (probably close to 2 hours for about 10 km.) and find out if the Compass has 4wd, I would not attempt with with... More
