By the time we made it to the beach park, it was dusk. All of the activities had closed for the day. Being unfamiliar with the city layout, we went around in circles before we found out how to park there. It was still beautiful...More

Walk this trail at night, when it isn't so hot. There are boats for rental and plenty of other things to do in the area. Parking is a nightmare, but getting to the beach is worth it.

We had a wonderful time at Tempe town Lake. We have biked around the lake and also boated on the lake. A great place to relax. It is also close to all the restaurants on Mill Avenue. A great place for family and friends!

Paths along the water provide ample opportunity for exercise (great for running, biking, walking!), alone or for the whole family! We love this park! Boat rentals including paddle boats or kayaks available, too!

Aside from the great views and great weather. It was nice to take get adventurous and have options for paddleboats, kayaks, paddleboard ect. The lake is not to swim but if you have good balance, I highly recommend paddle boarding!

Swimming is not allowed but there are various boats, kayaks and paddle boards for rent - somewhat speedy though. Great place to walk and close to town restaurants. Might be a little warm on a mid-summer afternoon.

I was here in the morning for a run. The place is clean and seemed safe. There were some rowers out on the lake. The paths are well maintained. It was a nice place to watch the sunrise.

It is a really nice place , not really a beach but you can walk or bike along the Salt River. There is always something to watch like rokers or peddlers. Plenty places to sit and to picknick.

We had a fun time here. Our family rented a covered 3 person bike and enjoyed a ride along the river. It is very scenic and there were a lot of people in kayaks and using SUP boards in the water. This is a nice...More

Located along the Salt River (at this point they call it a "lake") this area has long paved paths that are used by walkers, bikers, etc. Note: virtually no shade. Limited free parking to north of Mill Street bridge that fills up early...paid lots available...More

They hold lots of large events there every year. This includes the Tour de Fat in Oct, which had an estimated attendance of 15,000 last year. There is plenty of room for you and all of your friends.
