Great lake. Nice for a swim in a hot summer day. The drive is rough but is totally worth it. Good fishing also.

Such a beautiful and clean lake! It is definitely worth the rough roads to get there! Perfect for a weekend trip to soak up some sun and suds! The beach is great for young kids and family and to go fishing right from your chair. I really fell in love here. The marina does offer boat rentals but you have... More

Been going to this lake for 20 years now and it's beauty is beyond measure! The water, the scenery, the wildlife and the history along with the "lake" people make this place so awesome!

This is a must drive from Apache Junction to Roosevelt Dam. Hwy 188 in the spring when the flowers are in full bloom. The views were INCREDIBLE. The saguaro silhouetted against the blue skies with a backdrop of red stone canyons! Stunning. Get out and snap pictures IF you can find a spot in the road wide enough for another... More

Drove in from Roosevelt Dam, good old bumpy dusty road, but it was good to see the lake and many people were coming for the water fun and relaxation.

Fantastic short drive on a narrow road. Very scenic and break for a delicious Hamburger. Live entertainment.

Beautiful area, in the middle of the desert. We stopped at almost every overlook. You could see the fish swimming around below.

Beautiful drive, just know the road conditions are dirt and gravel, narrow roads. Don't bring the rv unless you are comfortable driving on crazy roads.
