We purchased tickets online for the tour. The trip into the cave was educational and very interesting. Historical facts were great. Our guide did a great job. Very comfortable temp in the cave. The scenery that surrounds the cave is beautiful. Great place for photos. Nice drive from Tucson.👍🏻🌵

I really enjoyed my time there. The history of the caves construction to be open to visitors is fascinating. The stone used to build the buildings and sidewalks was quarried there. Incredible that it was all built with basic tools.

We had not planned on stopping here but we saw the sign and had time to spare On our trip so we stopped to check it out. Cave tour was nice but guide Went really fast through it all and groups really needed to be smaller we were in a group of 20. Should have been about 10. But overall... More

I decided this year to combine my daughter's birthday and Easter together, as they are so close together. Instead of buying her "stuff" I planned a day trip to Colossal Cave and the International Wildlife Museum. She was not disappointed! She had a very good time, and thoroughly enjoyed herself. She very much enjoyed seeing everything there was to see... More

We took the ladder tour and loved it. You get a little dirty and have to squeeze through some tight spaces but that's what makes it so good. We even took a shortcut and dropped down a narrow crack. It was a little taste of what it might be like to explore a new cave.

Informative tour into the cave on the regular tour option. Too bad that the tour is done on a relatively short time-frame, and that the number in a group can be as large as 20 people. The tour is too short time-wise to take pictures, even though one is told that pictur-taking is allowed. The tour site is often narrow... More

My boys and I have been to Kartchner Caverns and Lurray Caverns. Both of those were wet caves and much cooler inside. This one is dry so it's pretty much 71 degrees inside year round. It's much narrower and has steeper steps than the other caves we've done. You definitely need to watch your head. The tour guide did a... More

You get your tickets for the 45 minute to one hour tour inside the small gift shop. Outside the gift shop there is a food stand for a bite to eat or something to drink before or after the tour. There is some walking and steps involved in this tour so I'd suggest enclosed toed shoes, no flip flops. Also... More

This is a dry cave which was quite comfortable. The steps are amazingly level and few. The CCC did a great job in the 1930's to adapt the front part of the cave for visitors, and 100,000 visitors annually oblige the effort. The guide provided his knowledge in an enthusiastic and easy to hear manner. Tour only ran 45 minutes,... More
