If you happen to be in Wickenburg and enjoy hiking, try the Vulture Peak Trail which is less than ten miles out of town. It's an easy to get to trail with a short drive on a dirt road. Not a problem with any car as long as it isn't raining. At the trailhead you'll find a pit toilet in... More

An excellent 5 mile hike in a park, which starts as an easy hike and gradually becomes more difficult closer to the peak with a hands and feet scramble to the summit. The pathway was more difficult to follow coming back from the peak and close to the parking lot and requires more signage than currently exists as the individual... More

Best hike in the town of Wickenburg. A four wheel drive can shorten the hike and add to the fun. There is plenty of parking...and a bathroom. The trail itself is well marked. The "saddle" is a nice place to stop and take a break. The rest of the hike, to the peak, takes some hands on work, but well... More

This is a great hike around the Wickenburg area. We enjoyed a peaceful trail and a nice climb. The desert was beautiful and the views from the saddle in all directions were great. Recommend this hike to anyone looking for some good exercise and a fun climb.

This challenging trail affords you gorgeous views of the desert and surrounding mountains. Not an easy trail. Take plenty of water and definitely avoid hot days.

Beautiful views, close to Phoenix, easy to find. Easy trail for kids and families. Great SxS riding nearby and dry camping.

This was a very nice trail for the whole family. We chose a shorter hike with the family because of the weather, but went further on a different day. I recommend a walking stick. Watch out for the fuzzy cactus know as "throwing" cactus. The little balls have barbs at the end and are painful and difficult to remove.
