I like trains travel. I wish the USA would embrace this type of travel more. Nonetheless, I loved this experience. A bit of a ticket mixup but we were immediately upgraded and accommodated. Ed, our conductor and Doug, the bartender made us feel so welcome!...More

This is a great way to see the Grand Canyon South rim if you don't want to drive up there. It can get a little crowded and tough to find parking.

We did enjoy the train ride but could have done without the "train robbery. The 3+ hours you are at home he canyon is adequate to see views in the immediate area. However, there is not enough time to to the red route. They are...More

Arrived in Williams after not being able to get in Tusayan. Was planning to drive to the canyon but the night before I was looking on TripAdvisor for places to eat when the railway popped up. Hadn't heard of it but when we looked at...More

This is the most relaxing and enjoyable way to travel to the Grand Canyon. Drops you off right at the rim. The train car was very clean and comfortable. Our "Car Attendant" was most helpful and gave us several tips on what to do and...More

I had heard about this for several years, and finally decided to try it. It exceeded my expectations. Carol was great as the service person. Definitely spring for the Luxury Cars, as the experience on the back deck was amazing. The interaction with the actors...More

This was my 4th trip on the RR, all of which included staying at the hotel, but my first under Xanterra ownership. IMO, Xanterra has not done railfans any favors. Stopping steam altogether for more than a year and now only running steam once-a-month and...More

Yes, the car is in the luxury car, they give you ten minutes, but only luxury passengers, can get access, which is the last two train cars-you have access to the entire train, but other riders don't.

The shuttle buses have wheelchair access. We witnessed this while at the park. The entire rim trail is paved and I think all buildings along it are accessible. Have a good time, we did!
