We had a chance to stop at the Navajo Reservation for shopping, snacks and some sightseeing. It is an interesting detour on the way to the Grand Canyon. This is where you can buy authentic American Indian crafts--although there were some " Made In China"...More

Traveling through this great nation, and it is truly great, one finds friendly, warm and welcoming people. There are such long stretches of road where one can look over miles and miles of land. I found horses trotting along the road as well as sheep...More

Good place to see lots of sites without the crowds. We were there on 4/16/17 and only a few people around. It was great

This place is a must see if you are in the area. Besides the fact that it is "the capital" for the indians, it is with stunning nature. There are markets with the silver jewellery the navaho are known for. And other handcrafted items.

You can view it easily from the car, and a hike is not necessary. Quite the hole in the rock which is viewable anywhere local in Window Rock.
