Our hotel suggested we see this museum and it was a great recommendation. The extensive displays are so carefully organized and printed info in the display cases was clear and easy to read. I thought the focus would be just native Americans in the Arkansas area but many objects have been gifted or on loan from North American sources. It... More

Made this a first stop of the morning before heading to Crystal Bridges. We were not disappointed! From before you even walk through the front door you're in for a treat. You will find lots to interest you from arrowheads, to pottery, to Native American textiles. The documentation of the Native American history and culture is very impressive. The staff... More

I love anything Native American. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and amount of exhibits in this place. We were here for about 4 hours. If you like arrowheads you will love this place.

We went expecting a small, "15 minutes and you're done" museum. What we found was a great museum full of beautiful artefacts from many different American cultures. The collection is interesting, the objects fascinating, the display very well done. Go now!

Dear Tostoine, That's just what I thought my first visit...that I was going to knock out this little Native American museum in a mere 15 minutes. After my very pleasant surprise on my first visit, it has turned into fours years and my lucky fortune --where I see and learn something new everyday at the Museum of Native American History.... We were not expecting the extensiveness of this museum nor the dedication and friendliness of the staff. Be prepared to learn a lot about the first North Americans.

One of the most interesting, comprehensive museums we have ever visited. Extensive collection of Native American artifacts, clothing, and decorative items. Very user friendly. Videos, exhibits clearly marked. A great experience.

Not what I was expecting to find here. This is probably one of the largest private collections of Native American artifacts (from prehistoric all the way through to the 20th century) on public display anywhere. The graphics and videos are done well. The artifacts and supporting information are arranged mostly chronologically, and while some of the textual information could probably... More

This is a great place to take kids. We took my granddaughter here in summer. I don't think they charge so you can't beat that. Great school activity or field trip.
