A wonderful art museum with amazingly modern design that blends into a beautiful wooded landscape. The art is very interesting; includes Rockwell’s original Rosie the riveter; but the star is the building and its environs—- which includes a complete Frank Lloyd wright Usonian house in...More

A lot to see, but not overwhelming, and doable within a few hours. The Frank Lloyd Wright house on the property is also a real gem. We really enjoyed it.

Art dating from the colonization of the country to present is presented well. This museum puts on special school art appreciation visits. For American art this museum is as good as The Metropolitan Museum in NY. A Must See.

We were in town for an early morning appointment and had the rest of the day to play. This is such a nice little museum. I have to confess that I prefer history or natural history museums to art, but my husband and daughter like...More

As a professional photographer for fifty years, I’m APPALLED to discover that there are NO photographs in the permanent collection. By comparison, the Smithsonian Museum of American Art highlights its photographic collection. Shame on you, Alice!

Whatever is up for view in temporary exhibition space, coupled with permanent collection, plus Frank Lloyd Wright house, is worth seeing. The casual coffee bar or trails are good gor conversation and reflection. Gift shop tempts... yes this is Nortwest AR and it is all...More

We visited primarily for the Chihuly special exhibition, but plan to return. I was very impressed by the architecture and setting. My favorites from the permanent collection were Sol Lewitt's 'Wall Drawing #880: Loopy Doopy (orange and green)" and Edward Hopper's "Blackwell's Island." I love...More

You do not have to purchase tickets in advance but it helps if there is a line. If I remember correctly, the price was 20 dollars and some change.

You do not need advance tickets. They are available daily. The indoor exhibit has already left, but his out door collection is still in place.

After being overwhelmed with the amount of Art on display and the chance to walk outside trails, we decided it would be smart to divide it into 2 days if possible. But each time I would allow 3 hours, especially if this is... More
