Cosmic Cavern was discovered in 1845, but wasn'€™t developed until 1927. The cave features a 9 foot soda straw the longest known in the Ozarks, and two bottomless lakes. One of the lakes was discovered in 1993 in the "Silent Splendor" section which made national news. This was Arkansas’ most delicate discovery. Make sure to bring your camera! Gift Shop, Snacks, Picnic area and camping available.

Been to a few caves in the area, I must say this is the best. It is a narrower cave then the others I have been in. Has a few tight spots, but HEY its a cave! Guides were well informed and professional.

Trista (our guide) was very pleasant, accommodating & informative. I had to get a refund (which was nice of them to issue) for my mother because my young daughter had a meltdown before it started. Luckily so, because they won't have enjoyed it due to...More

Our family loved, loved, loved this tour! This was not our first cavern experience but it was the best! It happened that we went early on a Tuesday morning and were the only family for the tour so it felt like a more personal experience....More

Wow, those are some steep steps! Everyone climbed them fine, though, from the three-year-old to the father-in-law who struggles a bit with balance. This isn't the grandest cave I've visited, but it was a unique experience because it's run by a private owner instead of...More

Many caves do not have tour guides. My wife was setting this up and noticed that Onyx is everywhere but it does not have a tour guide. We have been spelunking before, but we had the kids and wanted something for them as well. We...More

I appreciate your response and glad you recognize we are “a cave”. Our's is much less difficult to go thru than others in the area. Come do the wild tour and prepare for a mind-blowing trip. I only know of one Ozark cave that doesn’t...More

This cavern is beautiful with lots of interesting formations to see. Not an easy walk for my somewhat disabled hubby, but worth the effort. Our guide was a knowledgable geologist, so we learned a lot of fun facts. A nice diversion from the shopping in...More

Glad you enjoyed Steve. He’s been a geologist so long, he can’t get away from rocks. I’m not sure how you classify a small cave, but we have found 1/3 mi. and 1 hr 15 min. perfect length for over 90% of the customers. That...More

We enjoyed the cave and tour guide. She was very informative and kept everyone engaged. The walkways are tight in places and stairs steep, but hey, it's a cave. We enjoyed it more than Mystic Cavern in Springfield.

The cave isn't large so it may not be good for everyone but our guide was great and the cavern is really cool. We saw bats, an underground lake, and some very unusual formations.
