Situated on a high point, the Bull Shoals - White River State Park's James A Gaston Visitor Center offers sweeping views of the White River, Bull Shoals Dam, and the Bull Shoals Lake. The center's Exhibit Hall, lobby, gift shop and Johnboat Theater share the history and tell of the fish the area waters hold.

Very informative on the history of the area , and the construction of the Bull Shoals Dam. Numerous artifacts from early times before the dam was built

What a wonderful Visitor Center documenting the development of the Bull Shoal's Dam and the White river area. Amazing overview of the dam and the river downstream. Great exhibits to view.

Our daughter and son in law were married at the James A. Gaston Visitor Center. The staff was friendly and helpful. The amenities were perfect for a wedding. There were plenty of dressing rooms and space. The wedding was outside on the patio. The views...More

The visitor center staff was very pleasant and informative. A great view on Bull Shoals Lake and the White River valley. Outside is a neat trail for easy hiking.

Enjoyed the exhibits and learning more about the area. Wonderful staff and a thoughtful gift shop. Beautiful views of the dam, river, and lake.
