Really nice place to go for food and a train trip. There is also a railway museum which is well worth a visit.

My son is a huge fan of trains so for his birthday we decided an old fashioned steam train ride was the only way to go. If only we'd picked another train!! It was a boiling hot day the train was barely moving and I honestly think we melted a bit. Quite possibly the least enjoyable most uncomfortable experience of... More

I left the boat at Rugeley, Jackie, who I rang at Chasewater gave me some Travel information. A bus from Rugeley but I took a chance on the train to Cannock. Bus 3 service passes this railway... Late to go, ten minute ride and then ten minute wait... and wait and wait. All the kids on the train where fed up and... More

Booked a steam train driver experience day for my boyfriends 21st birthday. The day started at 9am and was told that it would finish at 3/4, we ended up going away at 5:30pm which was fantastic! We found the experience day brilliant value as he spent the whole day, minus 2 hours for breakfast (drink and breakfast sandwich included in... More

After growing up around chasewater and being absolutely devastated when the M6 Toll was built through it one positive I have to say is how they've done up the steam railway very interesting for adults and children and they do a Santa ride at Christmas time. Definitely worth a visit if you're near
