I really enjoyed visiting Turpentine Creek and doing the guided tour and hearing all of the animals' stories. I'm so happy there is a place like this that cares for these animals. You can tell that they put a great deal of care and effort into what they do!

Thank you so very much for visiting. Our team is very dedicated to providing our animal residents with the best lives possible in captivity. Our interns are not only here to learn but to also help the animals. It is an amazing learning experience for not only our interns but for the visitors who come to see what we do.... More

This was our second time visiting Turpentine. We really enjoyed watching all of the animals and they do a wonderful job taking care of them. You can tell they really care about them. I am in an electric wheelchair and was able to go to a lot of the area in my chair and they also had a trolley that... More

Shelley, We are glad that you enjoyed your return visit to Turpentine Creek. Being an outdoor facility it can, at times, be a little more difficult for our disabled visitors to get around. We do our best to offer Trolley and cart alternatives for those people. We hope you get the chance to come back again soon. More

We loved this place! We did the walking tour and then the self guided tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions asked. It was great to be so close to these animals and we watched them for hours. We will be returning for more visits.

The job they are doing rescuing cats is awesome. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Spend the night and listen to lions caroling at night. This is just like you are in jungle.

We always stop at Eureka's number one tourist attraction on our yearly visit. Such a beautiful place to see so many rescued big cats, small cats and bears right on our doorstep. Please stop by as every penny you spend goes right back to caring for these wonderful animals that humans have treated so badly. There are walking tours and... More

I really enjoyed my visit to the turpentine Creek wildlife refuge. The tour was very informative and we really enjoyed our guide. She was very knowledgeable. It was sad however to hear about all of the harm that people have done to these magnificent animals. I'm glad places like this exist to save these noble creatures. The refuge did a... More

We had a tour guide that walked us through the refuge while she shared the stories of how they acquired these beautiful animals and she told us about the animals... We are hoping to sponsor a tiger.

The facility has big cats and a few bears. It was saddening to hear the stories of where some of the cats came from. There is a self-guided quick tour or you can take a guided 45 minute guided walking tour. Wear comfy shoes, the tour is on gravel and up and down a few hills. Well worth the money.... More
