Very nice and quiet campground
Jul. 2020 • Family
We camped (tent) at the Pines and it was just great. Bathrooms are well kept and showers were nice. We had campsite #36 which was the best one suited for tents, at least in my opinon. Lots of shade and a really neat spot for the tent - tucked back in the trees. We were at the riverfront and while you really don't have access to the river for kayaking, etc, there was a short path you could take to get a nice view. Was very quiet there, although We were there Sun - Wed. I imagine the campgrounds on the lake are much noisier with all the boat traffic and crowded beaches. It was definitely worth the short drive to the beach.

Beautiful Campground!
Jul. 2018 • Friends
We stayed in Parker Bottoms Campground which is a beautiful slice of the outdoors. Most of the sites are large and secluded. There are a few sites which are not as secluded, and would be excellent for people camping together. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. They are even air conditioned which was especially nice in 95 degree heat!
Be aware that the map on recreation.gov is misleading. It looks like all 3 loops/campgrounds are near each other (walking distance). They aren't. A couple of our friends stayed in the Riverview loop, and we definitely had to drive there from our site.
Sites 51 and 52 are especially nice!
Site 48 has a beautiful view of the bluffs and river, but is in total sun! This would be a great site in the fall.
