A very serene tranquil lake. Great place to take the family. Trail is great, swimming area etc. Watch out for goose poop. Boat rental just like a mountain lake.

Time change happened the week we visited sun was going down quickly we walked up on Stephanie a park and rec employee she noticed my map was torn to pieces gave me new map. She informed us of what trail was best and short cut to an overlook. On our way back as it was getting dark she saw that... More

This is a nice lake with pretty but not spectacular scenery immediately west of Eureka Springs downtown. Located at end of Leatherwood Road about two miles off Highway 62. Worth an hour or two if visiting Eureka Springs.

We came here to ride our bikes but it was a very HOT day :) in October and I had a major headache already. Hubby did ride a short distance but the trails are definitely narrow and more for mt. biking! Lovely lake and it appeared that the campers were very happy to be here.

We don't like to camp anywhere else. Friendly staff, quiet, clean, has water, electric and sewer set up for our camper. Close to public bathrooms and hot showers, love hearing the geese in the morning. Walking trails are nice. We haven't rented anything yet but they have a little marina where you can rent canoes, paddle boats and kayaks. Maybe... More

Very nice people, secluded campground. Only problem- there is no entry gate or any way of keeping people from driving in during the early morning hours and driving around the campground. This woke us up almost every morning at 5 am. Loud vehicles or quiet vehicles playing loud music at 5 am. :( We don't sleep very late, but were... More

There are several paths that were incredibly quiet (didn't see on other person on two different trips out) that you can hike! The dam is pretty cool as well, and is something you can get to via hike. I'd recommend taking one of the trails that are further away from the lake!

My daughter and I drove down here specifically to do some hiking and walk the trails. We chose one trail and started walking. The further in the forest we went, the quieter it got. It was so peaceful and relaxing, we loved it so much. We don't know how long or far far the trail went, but we walked about... More

Nice sweet spot with pier and some camp sites. Sweet little camp store is open sometimes for candy bars, marshmallows, etc... Great spot for a quiet canoe paddle.
