The nature baths are Northern iceland’s Blue Lagoon. The nice thing is that it is easier to get into and less crowded. Once you are checked in, you must do an obligatory no suit shower with soap to cleanse three areas in particular. There are...More

The Myvatn Nature Baths are the north’s alternative to the blue lagoon. While still based mainly off of tourism, Myvatn is less crowded. There is a small cafe on site and a gift shop of sorts that sells a variety of spa treatment items, the...More

The baths offer a great view of the lake, while you dose off i the hot water. They serve beer, while you chill around and relax. Just keep it above water and it will stay cold indefinitely :)

Popped into the Nature Baths when I was in Myvatn. We drove for about an hour and a half to get there. This Bath has some really scenic view! Its a great place to relax in the hot tubs after a long day.

Possibly hire a car and self drive - there are a few great areas to visit around the lake.

If you can drive, driving around Iceland is way cheaper than getting a tour. And you can see everything on your own time.
