Interesting and impressive but not much in the way of facilities. There is a 400kr charge and probably worth it, good for another short stop on the way back from the Golden Circle.

I loved the crater, the walks around the top and bottom, and everything about it EXCEPT, here we are PAYING to experience nature and the site allows DRONES! Yes, you get to experience nature whilst the constant buzz of drone cameras bellow all around you...More

You can use your credit card to pay the ISK 400 fee per person, and it comes with a cup of hot chocolate and a kleinur (an Icelandic donut) and that's a very nice touch! Parking is free and there is a decent sized lot....More

This attraction has an entrance fee. If the weather is not good, it is definite not worth a visit. There are much nicer places to visit on the route. If the weather is nice, it can be a nice walk around it. You really need...More

We walked all the way to the bottom. It was really pretty. I would recommend this stop if you like nature.

A water-filled crater. Beautiful moss and plants on the rocks, and a nice setting. Definitely worth a stop but hard to believe they are charging admissions compared to the spectacular sights that are admission-free.

The Kerid crated was the first site we visited in the Golden Circle. Like the rest of Iceland, it is one of a kind. Walk around the crater walls and then down the stairs to the pond, and enjoy the view and colors.

That you have to pay to see. Can't believe some of the 5 blob reviews on here - was this your first day after being released back into the community? There are far better things to see on the golden circle than this,

Hello. The crater is part of the golden circle route, the first time I did a coach tour & last time I went by car, the advantage of having a car is you can stop as long as you like, although the tours are really good too. We... More

In this time of the year, there is daylight until 22pm, so you can see it anytime until that hour. But since is so close to Reykjavik, go about 17pm, there should not be there many people and you can do perfect pictures.
