It is an injustice to peg this beautiful UNESCO listed park as one of the highlights of the Golden Circle tour. It is a highlight, but to include it on a days’ trip around the Golden Circle means that you must limit the time spent...More

While we only spent about 2 hours in the evening here, you could easily spend half the day (or all day) exploring the park paths. You have to pay for parking (about $7 USD). We went around 6:00 pm, our last stop on our Golden...More

Parking was a pain, the staff were unhelpful and the paths are crowded. Other than that this a beautiful place that is well worth seeing.

We admittedly did not spend much time here, but for good reason. The place was quite busy in mid June and we were not into the crowds. I would not skip it, and I would go back to spend more time there, but if you...More

We loved it. The snorkeling with dive.is was famous. The water is great and you can get very close. The hike was nice

We visited the park as part of the Golden Circle Tour from GTI. It had wonderful geological formations, and it was a beautiful site to see.

This was one of my favorite places from our Iceland trip. The landscape, caused by the tectonic plates spreading is so uniquely beautiful that its almost otherworldly. Its easy to see why Game of Thrones chose to film at this awesome location. Its definitely worth...More

The drive was very easy from Reykjavik. They offer many tours but we had a rental car which was nice so we could spend as much time as we pleased. I’m sure with a little internet searches you’ll find information on the game... More
