Christmas at Causey
Dec. 2019
We have visited the Causey Christmas Experience for the past 7/8 years. The excitement is palpable in the car on the way down from Dublin on a cold winters night with the anticipation of meeting Santa...the dark roads giving way to a magical burst of light as you arrive...Pulling on the Wellies over thick warm socks...Wrapping up with Scarves, Gloves, Winter coat and topped off with Santa Hats as we make our way from the car park inside...Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows and a slice of Home made cake on arrival...Waiting for the group name...what will it be ...maybe Mistletoe again?...Then off on our adventure to see Santa....We will miss you all this year and it will not feel like Christmas without our visit to Causey but please Stay Safe and we will see you all in 2021.

Excellent family day out
Aug. 2020 • Family
First visit to Causey farm.
really well organised. Very well set out for social distancing but yet interactive enough to really draw in the kids. Staff were excellent. The lady who gave out the wire loops to make bubbles was so lovely and kind to the kids it's obvious she loved seeing the kids have fun. The leprechaun was hilarious and did a great job at crowd control. Overall very relaxing enjoyable day out even in the current covid environment.

Well thought out socially distanced farm adventure 🐫🐰🦆🐷🐄🍦
Aug. 2020 • Family
I brought my 21 month old here whilst meeting a couple of friends & another little one. I was really impressed with how well thought out this day out at the farm with ice cream was. We booked our timed slot for 12. It was €11 each for adults and under 2s go free.
There was a cow, sheep, horses, pigs, piglets, hens, geese, turkey, donkeys, ducks, rabbits, baby goats, a llama and camel. You could blow bubbles, do chalk art, play in a football maze, fairy house or garden cottage. We lugged empty buggies up stairs whilst holding onto toddlers half way through the course but that was our choice. We could've double backed on ourselves but would've missed the llama and laurel hedge maze. My toddler particularly was taken with the red Massey Ferguson tractor!
There is plenty of parking and outside seating areas some covered with gazebos which we used as it was drizzling on/off. The complimentary scoop of ice cream 🍧(choice of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry) was really really good. We also got takeaway coffees and delicious scones served with butter and jam which supplemented the picnic we brought. The wasps were a bit of a nuisance though. We stayed 2 hours in total. My toddler loved exploring the farm trail. The adventure is in line with the Government’s Covid-19 safety precautions with staff wearing visors, physical distancing & hand sanitisers etc.
Overall I'd highly recommend this as a family day out. Toddlers will enjoy it especially the animals. Other activities are more suitable for older children (3+).

Aug. 2020 • Family
I went here with my wife and 8 year old son. It’s great value and lots to to do. A lot of hard work has gone into the place, plenty of helpful staff. It’s mostly outdoors so check the weather. You get free ice cream and there is a small restaurant they do fabulous pizza

Thoroughly enjoyable day out with an added Ice Cream treat
Aug. 2020
Had a fantastic day out at Causey Farm Ice Cream Experience last week with our 2.5 year old. She loved it & we loved it. Booked & arrived at our timeslot where we were welcomed by a lovely girl who ran through the ins & outs of the farm with us.
Its a self guided tour so we toddled off at our own pace & never felt we were crowded with people. Social distancing was good & there was sanitising stations aplenty around the farm. The bubbles, chalkboards, fairy & leprechaun houses & various games in between all the animals add an extra element. The ice cream was delish too.
Finished off with pizza & coffee in the Cows Lick Cafe & again benches were well spaced out for social distancing. Did see families there with their own picnics too.
A lovely relaxed family day out and the little one slept the whole way home in the car!! Would highly recommend

Visited Causey Farm yesterday. All visits are prebooked to allow to manage numbers and it works.
Arrived at our timeslot, greeted in a very friendly manner.
The farm is self guided so you can go at your own pace and we never felt rushed.
Free ice cream is part of the tour as are some lovely activities, all simple but cover all ages from little ones up.
There is a shop and cafe with picnic tables outside with a small sheltered area if the weather turns. All tables being regularly cleaned. Overall it was a lovely few hours to spend and at no time did we worry about social distancing and there was an abundance of hand sanitising machines all fully stocked.
Would definitely recommend a visit.

Brilliant day out!

Causey Farm is a fantastic place to visit for all the family. There is something here for everyone. The selection of animals is really good and the flow through the farm from activity to activity is easy to follow. The interaction with the various different characters you meet is terrific and is different to the normal farm experience. The highlight of our visit was the impromptu sheep herding demonstration given to us by the Farmer. I would 100% recommend Causey Farm for anyone to visit.

Highlight of our trip
Feb. 2020 • Family
Causey Farm is a MUST when traveling to the Dublin area. We traveled to Ireland with 16 family members for my Father’s 80th birthday. The day at Causey was the highlight of the trip. Dermot was our guide for the day and taught us Americans how to dance and drum Irish style! We also learned how to bake brown bread.. thank you Peter! What a special day with a lot of laughs even though the weather was not the best. Thank you Causey Farm for making once in a lifetime memories! The Carey Clan
