surely worth a visit if you are in Halden. The Fortress is right on top of the hill and can be reached by walking directly from town. Nice place with a lot of green quite places around.

It is a great place to visit, full of history and you have access almost everywhere. Information board are all over the place both in English and Norse. Amazing views from the top. Great photo opportunities from top of the hill or from the bottom.

Very interesting to walk around in Fredristen Festing and look at the old buildings which are rich in history. One will also experience a magnificent view overlooking the Halden.
