a fantastic place, fast flowing river to walk along side on your walk up to the glacier, some lovely small bridges to cross, mind the trolls, path is quite rocky, and narrow though comfortable walking a must

Avoid the crowds and go to this glacier specifically. The ride there is almost as fun as the beauty of the glacier. You can drive up to the glacier and hike a bit more to see some of the creeks and get a bit closer....More

To get here you drive the road around lovatnet right to the end. You will have to pay the toll which is 40 Kroners for a car. When you get to the end of the road you park and take a short walk (very easy...More

The beaten track being Briksdal glacier. Kjenndalsbreen is quiet, and pristine. We encountered only one other family while there and this when two mega ships were in Olden port! The beauty is raw and untouched. The walk to near the glacier is also very easy-...More

No tourist coach can make it along to road to Kjenndalsbreen, which makes it a much quieter experience than many of the glaciers in this area. Well worth a visit and the 40Kr toll.

I had gone to the Briksdalsbree, but had time on my hands so I went for one more glacier. The ride to Kjennsdalbreen is much nicer and more fun ( sometime you wonder whether it's a road or a path that you are driving on)....More

We also visited the Briksdalbreen glacier but this one is better. You can get much closer and this one is less visited. Along the way there is a fascinating historic marker to a tragic landslide that claimed many lives. New sure to stop and read...More

This was one of the most beautiful drives, just spectacular! This is one of the least visited, but I cannot understand why. It is by far the most accessible and beautiful. Probably about a 15minute fairly flat walk from parking the car and absolutely breathtaking....More
