It's really interesting to visit the art of another country. The most exciting find was the photography of Eduardo da Costa Teixeira Pinto. I wish his work was more accessible. It's a wonderful building and cool relief on a hot day.

An amazing modern art gallery with some historical exhibits as well. Outshone many larger galleries that we have visited and entry for one euro is a steal. The exhibition of Mario Vitoria's artworks was exceptional.

This is a fabulous modern art museum, in a lovely setting. 1 euro entry fee, into a wonderful courtyard setting. The temporary exhibition was very modern, and the perminant one, showing exhibition of cubist art and modern art upti 2013. Definitely worth a visit

This is a great little visit in Amarante. We were lucky to have a friend book us a private tour with Theresa (sp?). She was wonderful and pointed out pieces in the collection with particularly important stories/histories.
