Went there to check the huge waves so popular amongst surfers but it was a fine sunny day with normal size waves nothing special. The beach is long and close to the village but nothing spetacular or jaw dropping so dont raise your expectations too high! Probably december and january are luckyer months to see those waves

Beautiful Beach and calm. Not crowded and super clean. They take good care. Bring a cooler with snack and a beach umbrella and enjoy the view.

One of the best and cleanest beaches i have ever visited. What I may recommend to you is going to their Mercado Municipal nearby and buy some fresh cheeses and bread to have a breakfast on this beach. Unforgettable experience

Don't know from where to start, it's one of the most beautiful sandy beach i ever been. Like a painting, You can enjoy a great walk , the place is known for its big waves... you have lots of restaurants around and of course seafood is a must eat out there. even you can have a dominant look from above... We visited in early October and the weather was perfect ( 21 ) for strolling the shore and sitting along the beach, not so sure for frolicking in the water. Local vendors had their fresh catches stretched out on drying/display racks. It had an easygoing vibe and was really enjoyed by us. Lots of little cafes & shops. It really... More

The beach is located in Atlantic ocean. It is sandy, quite long and beautifull. We visited in September and the weather was sunny and the see not so cold. There were not waves. There were very few tourists. Thre are a lot of hotels, restaurants, cafe and suouvenirs shops. It is a good place for summer vacation.

The beach has smaller waves than just around the corner (Praia do Norte), but the waves were still very big when we visited in October. Good if you're into surfing and challenging body surfing, impressive if you're walking on the boardwalk. Definitely not something for little kids or the timid to play in - this is serious water folks (for... More
