this is the best spot for watching the 30-meter waves in January. The lighthouse is the last safe point to stand.

Good to see and to visit. Ticket is pretty cheap, and you can see some boards from famous surfers and body boarders along with the view directly to Nazaré waves canon.

it was not the period for the big waves. but on top of the hill and look form the fort, you can imagine what it mus be like. inside the fort there is a small exhibition of boards that took the waves. interesting to visit.

The fort overlooks the North Beach where surfers come in winter to confront the biggest waves in the world. The fort has a small museum that explains the phenomenon that models these monster waves and has an interesting collection of pictures and surf boards. Great...More
