A small and peaceful place, particularly after the sheer melee of Peles Castle. The old and new orthodox churches are beautiful, particularly the smaller old church in the quadrangle, now no longer used for worship. Worth a visit.

This is a beautiful place, you can visit the monastery or just the church (which is free) plus there is a souvenir shop which has the most amazing prices.
I recommend you to visit this religious place when in Sinaia.
This was a very worthwhile stop on our way to Brassov from Bucharest. The highlight for me was the Biserica Veche" (The Old Church), dating from 1695. It is known for its wonderful wall paintings that were just finished restoring in 2016.
On the way to the castle, spent about an hour exploring this complex. Still an active community with nuns and priests around. The original church is in the rear courtyard, there is an old graveyard on the backyard of the residence section
