To say that Romania is a place full of surprises is an understatement. There are places you would not dream existed. Peles Castle is a supreme example of the Gothic Romantic vision of a decadent 18th century. A simply beautiful collection of high art. Well...More

We highly recommend a visit to Peles Castle. The inside and outside are absolutely gorgeous! My only regret is not buying a photography pass. You can only Take photos after buying the pass.

The first thing you'll notice when you approach Pales castle are the colorful walls and breathtaking views. We visited near summer so it was packed with tourists and no organized queue, which made the entrance look bit chaotic. Once inside, we went through various rooms...More

Of all the attractions in my recent visit to Bulgaria, Serbia, and Romania, peles castle was my favorite. Most of the interior is woodwork using either rosewood or walnut. The craftsmanship is exquisite.

We are able to walk around the outside and take a few photos. 65 Lei entrance to the first floor and more for the higher floor plus photo fee. A little run down but interesting. And a good uphill walk to get there.

We stayed in an Airbnb in Sinaia and used it as a base to go to Bran and Brasov. Peles is right in Sinaia. Have fun.
