This Dolmen should be viewed together with the other two at the main visitor site. This one is a little off the main road to Antequera, about 5 minutes drive from the main site. It is well marked and easy to find, don't be scared when the road turns into a dirt road - it is just for a few... More

4 kms by road from the well-known Dolmens of Menga and Viera, the Tholos of Romeral lies at the end of a very bumpy and dusty last kilometre. Drive slowly, please! With its small, carefully fitted stones and a domed chamber near the end of the entrance, it looks almost modern. Well ,it's only 4000 years old! Worth adding to... More

El Romeral Dolmen The “Tholos of El Romeral” who an example of a typical false cupola tomb, here we have a corridor with masonry walls and a flat roof from about 26m long. At the end you are entering in a very large chamber, also constructed in masonry, and here you have a small passage who is leading into a... More

Recently given UNESCO, these Dolmens are unique as they represent three typical dolmens that are from different periods and not seen elsewhere. One looks out to the giant in the mountain rather than to the sun, which is the only type like this known. They are very well kept, and free, how magical is that!

The main attraction would be the other two dolmens just a short trip away where the excellent Visitors Centre is located and which gives a great overview of how these four thousand year old bronze age tombs were built . Overall three magnificent megalithic structures which were part of the Western European tradition of the burial of the dead nobility... More

When contemplating going to the Dolmens, only view this one as part of the trio, the main 2 are just up the road, ideally do this one last to appreciate the differences, also ensure you watch the film in the visitors centre. The 3 can be easily viewed in an hour but well worth visiting. It is free as well!

We visited Antequera, to see the Dolmen's, These prehistoric monuments are quite interesting but not a lot to see. There is a visitors centre with a Video presentation showing how it is believed these were built which is a must if you are visiting otherwise you will have little to go on. The Dolmen are three underground cave structures built... More

It's not a huge site but well worth a visit. The visitors centre has a helpful and informative video of the probably construction of the stone buildings which is probably worth seeing first. The monuments are easily accessed and give a good idea of the skill that was used thousands of years ago in construction. Spent just under an hour... More

We liked this dolmen most, even though it is the least advertised. However, all off them only offer the views shiwn on the pictures.

Unfortunately we made our way to these burial chambers to find that this attraction is closed on Mondays. Not sure later in season. Poor signage to the place
