Relaxing Spot

The castle has been partly renovated to be open to the public. It's unoccupied but an interesting site with good views out to sea. It's surrounded by open space to sit.

Perched at the far end of the resort, atop a hill, this castle is free to visit on certain days of the week ( inc Wednesdays). You can walk around the ramparts and this affords you great views out to see and across the resort

As we were staying very near this castle we decided to stroll up there. Be warned it's quite a climb but we'll worth it. Great views from the top. Castle itself is nothing great once inside as only got the steps up to the top of the wall and nothing of great intrest inside. It's worth the climb to see... More

Once you get up the very steep hill the views are breathtaking! The castle in set on a beautiful hill you can walk all the way around! Lovely! Hard going getting to the top!

Nice walk, but not a lot else too be honest... Nothing to see and no real literature to tell you much about the castle.

My wife and I walked here from our base and it killed a couple of hours all in. We only spent 30 mins in the castle as it is fairly limited in historical content. Views from the walkways are good.

Not too step a walk up and the views are lovely of the city. Free admission was a bonus and we left a donation. Well kept but would benefit from better signage giving some facts and info.

We walked all the way along the front of Fuengirola across the bridge and up the pathway to find what is now just walls to hold concerts in.

A lovely walk up a very steep hill but the views are absolutely stunning. There is no charge for going into the castle ruins only voluntary contributions. For people with mobility problems it's a no go.

It takes a while to figure out where the entrance is to the castle, but once you are in (and bear in mind the short and restricted opening times) it gives you excellent views over the surrounding areas, river, bridges and beach below. You can walk round a large proportion of the top of the walls, most of it pretty... More
