    Day out with the children
Visited this park with my daughter-in-law and 4 year old grandaughter and my grandaughter and her 15 month daughter. The play park was very enjoyable for both children. The additional play resource of a bouncy castle and the carousel though additional cost was reasonable price. Having toilet facilities close to play area was a plus with young children. Lovely location with walks to the River Thames. Only criticism is that I feel that at the road access from the Main Street there should be a controlled zebra crossing to allow safe pedestrian access for adults with children

    Higginson park
We visit higginson Park quite often and it is really just an average park. The playground there is very new and there are always lots of young kids there on the playground at the weekend. In the winter, the park floods quite badly but it is quite big and you can go on long walks there.

Like a small corner of heaven
Outstanding scenery, beautifully maintained park. We spent a lovely morning enjoying this park on a decently sunny day. The river adds a lovely dimension, the park’s lawns appear to be cared for, and the towpath offers a delightful walk up to the lock and beyond. Easy availability of toilets and entertainment in the park, plenty of parking in town.

Excellent afternoon spoilt by expensive Rick Stein lobster roll which contained less than a teaspoon of lobster. Poor do Rick 😟

Lovely park with walks along by the river. Lovely cafe within the park. Play area for young children and areas for dogs or playing on the grass

The park is lovely, we go to Marlow every year and really like a walk by the Thames and the town is so lovely.
We went to Pub in the park this year which was disappointing with the drinks on offer. Greene king were the main drinks suppliers and it was all IPA. We only like ‘normal’ lager so unless you like IPA or cocktails then there was nothing really for us. We did try a lager that was the nearest to what we like but it still had an earthy taste that we don’t like.
The cooking demos were funny and the actual layout and set up was great.
However,, we had VIP tickets which included 2 dishes from the food stalls. I had a curry dog from The Coach ( we always go to the coach when in marlow, it’s one of our faves) however, it was cold, then I had to spit it out as there was a white sinewy bit in it that made me wrench - yuk.
Thought this would be a yearly event but we left before the end and went for a pint at a nearby pub.

Gorgeous setting for a nice walk, especially with nice weather. There’s a great play park for young children, plenty of green space for dogs/children, and gorgeous riverside walks to explore. The park is perfectly centred in marlow too, for the shops, bars, cafes, pubs etc to make the most of your visit.

Visited the park to take part in Higginson parkun which starts and finishes in the park.

The park itself is small but it's right by the River Thames, so a walk can be extended by an out and back excursion along the riverbank (this is the parkrun course).

Parking nearby but its pay and display. There are some public toilets nearby.

First visit to the area. Found a car park easily close to river. Walked down to the river, where there was the usual Ice Cream Van. Loads of benches to sit but not all are in the shade. There were hire boats ( rowing and motor) by the hour. Also available a short 40 minute trip on a tourist boat, which was a nice break from walking. There's also a large children's playground. There was a nice cafe with air conditioning and a small play area. Great for a snack and a drink (indoors only). Dog friendly. There was a Bar next door with outside standing. In all we had a lovely day.

Had an enjoyable walk in a calming environment. One can opt to walk in large landscaped gardens or simply take the long river path and enjoy the river by your side. Stop any time and return to Marlow's high street for a cuppa, a coffee or a quick lunch in any of the fantastic cafes or restaurants.
