A little gem we stumbled on accidentally on a dull rainy afternoon so we almost had the place to ourselves. Beautifully laid out gardens and lakes with lots of interesting trees and flowers which can be enjoyed with a very short walk or extended by...More

Spotted these gardens on trip advisor and had to see for ourselves. We were not disappointed. A fair price to pay at the gate for some delightful gardens, lake and ponds. We were there in late Sept but the gardens still had much to offer....More

We arrived here expecting to walk around for an hour or two, but ended up staying most of the day. The gardens are fantastic and captivatingly beautiful. Some fantastic photos taken! The most surprising part of the visit though was that my normally fussy and...More

Take your time, (and a picnic!), because it's not a large park, but it is a beautiful, peaceful garden. I would suggest a spare pair of shoes as it can get a bit soggy underfoot, especially the nature trail. But it's worth it.

After reading other reviews I'm wondering if we missed something! It was pretty and peaceful and the flowers were lovingly tended, but for £6.50 each it only filled an hour of our day. I was also disappointed that there were no binoculars in the bird...More

Very nice garden. A lot of over lapping and seeing same plants because there is no defined route to take around the garden. Bridges and nature trail made it more fun for the kids and their entry was free. I did get the distinct impression...More

Beautiful, peaceful watergardens. Lovely to stroll round. Great cakes in the tea room. Worth spending quiet time in the hide and looking out for Kingfishers.

I would absolutely recommend this place as an art group destination. The gardens lend themselves to quiet contemplative work for drawing and painting plants and landscape. There are lovely ponds with bridges. The tea room is... More
