A great landmark. It is a quite beautiful former friary tower set in a small park. It was one of the best historical buildings e saw on a flying visit to the town.
It is apparently one of only three surviving Franciscan monastery towers in England.

Set in a small central park, the tower is one of Lynn's "iconic" landmarks, and in recent years the spaces around it have benefited from having the positions of the former nave, cloisters etc of the old Friary clearly marked. The Tower shares the park with the town war memorial and some very well-kept garden plots. Entry is through any of three gates, costs nothing, and is a welcome oasis of calm in an area of Lynn with busy roads on at least three sides of the park. Signs on the gates say that the park is locked at dusk...well, get in early because in Lynn dusk seems to come early, in late afternoon in broad daylight, even in sumer!

Only the tower remains of this old church in nice gardens. It has been well restored and the area where the nave was is well marked out by a small wall. There is a light show projected at night onto the tower

Part of a once HUGE priory until Henry VIII. Lovely to have such heritage in the home town. Now part of a park and Cenataph to those lost in wars. Worth a walk through.

The tower was built in the15th century and has been restored to a very high standard. It was once part of a former monastary. The gardens are kept immaculate and are a credit to the gardeners. I've been many times over many years and it still has the same appeal.

The Grey Friars Tower is a wonderful ruin of a Friars Tower in Kings Lynn, nicely preserved in town gardens with the local war memorial.
Great spot for lunch.
The highlight of our trip to Kings Lynn.
