Interesting incite into the past considering it's free, information boards are all around the site! Lots of broken glass when we went unfortunately and rubbish scattered about! Which is a shame but I suppose it's an ideal hangout for youths etc! It was ok for...More

I was surprised by the extent of the ruins, almost well up there alongside Leiston and Castle Acre, for example, but the much-mentioned gatehouse seems to be inaccessible, on private land. The information posts are not very well-positioned, which isn't an enormous problem as they...More

We have just visited Thetford and walked to these ruins. The area was much larger than expected and aweinspiring. Despite some noisy children also visiting there was an air of peace at the site. The information boards were very good and made it a very...More

This must have been spectacular, the area was very neat and there were artists impressions of what it was like so you could really feel the history.

Free entry and quite interesting. Not much more to add. The priory is next to the river which has some nice walks and even saw a munchjac deer.

Definitely worth going to see, we really enjoyed walking around the ruins. It wasn't busy at all despite being a sunny Saturday.

It is just a few old walls, I'm sure it is interesting but not worth a special trip. Wasnt actually easy to find, as some of the signposts were not helpful getting there!

Only A short walk from the town centre. A really well maintained site with plenty of information boards. There are extensive remains to see and a very well preserved gatehouse. Very quiet when we visited, we had a lovely peaceful walk all around the site....More

This monument is very close to the train station, and also the bus terminal. It is close to the river that runs through the Town, and best of all it is FREE entry. Well maintained but be aware that it is locked out of hours,...More
