This is a stunning ruin. Perched on the coast the views are absolutely incredible. The castle ruins itself are well preserved and there is some fascinating detail. The lady working in the reception was extremely friendly (Sat 19th Jan) and was very helpful. There is...More

Can you imagine living on a cliff? It would have been a well defended home, that was obvious. But the views were quite intimidating to my knees as we climbed along the walls and stairs to see the sea below. Beautiful, majestic, and terrifying. Highly...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the castle and the views are spectacular. Although it is a ruin there is still a lot to see and explore. There are many passageways and staircases that give you a feel for what the castle might have been like...More

As castle ruins go, this place is mega! Situated on a cliff edge, overlooking the swelling sea below, this is a magical spot. Wear warm clothes, as it gets very windy in this exposed out crop.

This was our favourite of the many castles we visited in Scotland. The clifftop views are sensational.

This Castle was recommended to us by a local Scot that we met while having breakfast in North Berwick. It was a foggy day so we couldn’t see the water at all, but we enjoyed the castle. The grounds were beautiful and the day was...More

Second visit, this time with my sister and her husband. We hoped that they would like it as much as we had and they did. It was a very windy day but it didn't stop my sister and me going as high up as we...More
