If you can find this little hidden treasure then your lucky. Take a picnic and your walking boots. You can walk left or right from the car park to amazing places. Rock to the left. Polzeheath to the right. Or just sit and watch the windsurfing people. When the tides out there is a massive area of beach to explore.... More

Worth a visit for a winter walk, or a summer beach holiday... Make sure you have loose change for the car park, alternatively head here on foot... Daymer Bay is a bay and expansive beach on the east side of the River Camel estuary in sunny north Cornwall. The bay is bounded to the north by Trebetherick Point and to... More

We had been in Cornwall for 2 hours and went for a walk on Daymer Bay, parking in the official car park. The machine to pay took our money but did not produce a ticket. When we came to leave we were accosted by a man who smelt of alcohol demanding to know how long we had been in the... More

I parked here and followed the coastal path to Rock (1 1/2 miles) where you can catch a ferry to Padstow and back. The sandy sheltered bay is lovely for families and there were lots of children playing there. It is a beautiful spot.

One of the best uncrowded beaches, well worth looking up and heading to. Wide, sheltered with a broad sand beach stretching out to the estuary and toward the sea. To one side there are plenty of rocks, creating rock pools to clamber over and explore. Lovely setting, good for any type of day.

Always beautiful this beach, great walking with the dog 🐶. Shame the toilets have been abused as they were the cleanest, nicest toilets in the area. Real shame if they get shut down.

All our visitors request a day at Daymer bay whilst they are with us. The beach is perfect - choice from rock pools to sand dunes; for the more adventurous it is fun to walk along to the ferry and go across to Padstow- usually for a delicious fish lunch! There can be a problem driving down to the beach... More

Daymer is an acceptable beach provided you plan your visit to arrive around low tide time. Low tide reveals many rock pools on the seaward side with a few secluded sun traps, but care will be needed when negotiating the seaweed-covered rocks. Car access to Daymer is via a very narrow road lined intermittently on both sides with Cornish hedges... More

The walk from Daymer to rock is delightful and if you pick low tide there is loads of space to exercise your dog or dogs in our case , Daymer is good for them to swim as the bay is quite shallow , different walks when it is high tide excellent

A family day on the beach. The beach is ideal for children, safe to swim and ideal for rock pooling. The only drawback is people bringing their dogs. I am a dog lover but, in the summer they should be left at home.
