Whilst visiting the Northallerton area our host recommended visiting here. We were a bit skeptic all thinking it would be for kids but had a great time looking for all of the items on the leaflet. Recommended for all ages and parties

My husband, 5 year old daughter and I attended mid week during the Easter school holidays. Booked tickets in advance for the 12 noon arrival slot and just had to wait a few minutes to get to the check-in desk. Plenty of free parking available. Didn't quite know what to expect but that it was supposed to be quirky, unique,... More

There are plenty of reviews here telling you all about The Forbidden Corner and I've not much to add. It's fun, interesting, unusual and in a spectacular location. Relatively expensive for what you get and chuck in a snack at the cafe and you are talking a fair whack for a family. Picnic areas are provided, to be fair. There... More

In a beautiful location. The last time we visited The Forbidden Corner was many years ago. It has been updated and had lots of new areas added since then. Very quirky with excellent facilities for families. Never seems overcrowded due to the fact that you have to book in to a time slot. The only thing that slowed the check... More

We visited the Forbidden Corner yesterday with our five-year-old son, and we had a superb day out. Having never heard of the place, we were invited to attend with some friends. They told us it was unique, a park full of follies with no map. They said challenges were seemingly presented along the way, yet there was no answer and... More

We brought our 8, 4 and 1 year old to the forbidden corner. All of us had an excellent day out, despite poor weather. It's in fantastic grounds with surprises everywhere, people asking for a map are slightly missing the point! I think a map would spoil the surprises. One part of it did scare our children but they loved... More

Hi simon-shelley f Really pleased you had a great day out despite the weather being slightly unkind, good to see that you agree with our point regarding maps, we do provide a tick sheet and have staff patrolling the grounds that are more than willing to help anyone who may need assistance. just thought i better mention to visitors reading... I have wanted to visit for years so was with great excitement we visited today. My husband, my toddler and I. I had expectations of a "Secret Garden" kind of vibe... it wast really that at all. It felt more like a theme park without the rides. All a bit 'plastic-fantastic' in parts. The arrivals bit is badly disorganised. We... More

Dear Sam A Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We visited the Forbidden Corner over the Easter holidays - it's a bit out of the way but it's in a beautiful setting. It was really busy with families and pushchairs and whatnot so ideally we would have preferred it a bit quieter, but it's to be expected during school holidays. We were given a map and had to find... Visited today with our 7yr old granddaughter & what a wonderful magical place! We loved it ..however the 7yr did get very upset in the tunnels & then when you can't find your way out it could easily become quite distressing for all concerned, absolutely would return but possibly just adults, I do feel that a map or some basic... Hi durkar5 Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are very pleased you enjoyed Forbidden corner, sorry your grand daughter was a little upset in the tunnels, there are plenty of other areas to explore away from the underground areas for young children and a brass rubbing quest, which is all above ground, hope to see... Firstly, this is an absolute nightmare to find! True our navigation skills are rubbish but the signage is worse. Staff were polite enough, was easy to book online though after I'd spent my afternoon wandering round in confused circles I did wonder if it was a touch expensive. There is no map. All the paths interlink, which is both good... More

Dear Fox2609 Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Very sorry you had difficulties finding the attraction, the road signs we have in place are as many as our local County Council would allow us to have, we do have a detailed map on our website and a postcode for Sat - Nav users, also a video...
