Stunning and well looked after. Very pleasant staff. Quite a lot of information in the little shop which is fascinating. The views from the top are amazing, just be careful if it's windy or raining. Definitely recommend a visit!

Loved it! No cheesy tourist traps, no silly wax figures....just a once magnificent castle to explore. The lady working the ticket counter was wonderful. This is what I expect from a castle ruin.
As English Heritage members our admission was free. The lady on the desk was really friendly and helpful. We purchased a guide book which had useful plans although the information cards are clear and well placed. There are excellent views of the local area from...More
I didn't visit here for the historical importance of the castle ,I was however here to take some atmospheric(hopefully) images of the ruins. From that point of view ots a great place to get some stunning photographs.
Attended the Middleham Festival for the first time and wasn't disappointed.' Richard III' and his Queen where present and mist entertaining . Brilliant plave to visit in the heart of North Yorkshire

I really enjoyed walking round this castle, the views are wonderful! The tiny little town is beautiful and full of horse riders. Would definitely recommend on route to or from forbidden corner :)
