About
Cuckfield Golf Centre is a unique 9 hole pay and play golf course. Under new new ownership since 2018! Paul, Hazel and Niki Smyth would like to send a very warm welcome to all our members and visitors here at Cuckfield Golf Centre. We had a vision when taking over this fantastic golf course in December 2018 to create a special place where golf is available for everyone to enjoy, young or old, beginner or winner and the welcome is warm to golfers and non golfers alike. Set in the stunning Sussex Countryside, on the outskirts of Cuckfield Village. Not a golfer? Pop along and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat at 180 Degrees Bar & Kitchen. It is a nice location with good views over the countryside.Spacious inside and out
Friendly ladies who served us but clearly busy and as it turned out very slow service
Unable to cope with several orders at same time
We were at the end of that queue and a lunch hour became almost that waiting for a simple sandwich and a single fish cake
The fish cake was just that one fish cake
Described as Salmon Tuna with chilli and ginger
What I got was an overdone crispy coating containing a mush in which I could not taste or find any of the noted ingredients.Not even a fishy taste.Hugely disappointing and just on a plate with a limp skimpy lettuce dressed in an overpowering mustard dressing
And all for £12 !!!

Nice little nine hole with two tee positions for a 2nd 9 holes. Amazing views. Pretty good greens at this level...2nd shot often everything, especially in the wind, with some small tight greens or blind shots to sloping greens. Reasonable test. Excellent staff and good. New owners for the last year with extended and much improved clubhouse with changing facilities in course of building. Great teaching pro's with chipping and putting green, full length covered driving range and a great new coaching room facility. The drainage conditions have been worked on and should pay dividends with plans for a new 2nd green and adjustments to the once heavy rough. Nice day out. Recommended for a leisurely round or practice.

Went for a 'just retired' celebration breakfast with my wife after she had recommended the restaurant. What fantastic food and Niki was brilliant - great service and very friendly.
Will definitely come back again for breakfast and now I'm retired, maybe give the golf a go.

I don't normally review supposed golf clubs but my experience here today moved me to see if they were mentioned on TA.
Arrived at this rather weird place ( pro shop, bar, restaurant, lounge is one room, no proper dressing facilities ) to find that my friend's visit at the weekend to book a tee time had been a complete waste of time as, although it was " in the book", it had not been recorded on the computerised schedule, which was blocked out due to Ladies Day. OK mistakes can happen, but there was not a hint of apology ( we had all driven 20 miles plus ).
P.S. I've never seen so much denim since l was at a Status Quo concert ! If you take your golf even half seriously, avoid this place.It will give golf a bad name.

Ok, if you are a serious low handicapper, this course might not be for you. If, like me, you really enjoy golf and the challenges that come along with playing all kinds of different courses then this is just wonderful! No, its not long, but it is challenging. Staff are lovely and the food and drink, very much appreciated. It does have a relaxed approach to golf and, yes, some are dressed slightly less conventionally than at your 5 star courses but then, this isnt trying to compete with Walton and Wentworth, this is saying, come and have a go, whatever your level and enjoy your round. I certainly did just that.

Played at this course last month and was excellent value for money. Course is week kept and the lunches or breakfasts are very good.

A very disappointing experience. What has happened to the place? A very rude member of staff called Niki, who blatantly knows nothing about golf! This venue used to be very friendly and personable with very knowledgeable staff re the golf side. The course is still a great track but avoid the clubhouse if you are a genuine golfer as if Niki is anything to go by! She hasn't a clue of how to look after the genuine golfer!

Having joined the golf club just over a year ago I can only say how welcoming and friendly everyone has been, especially to a complete novice such as myself.
The regular golf clinics that are held, give you access to excellent pro advice from David and Roy, plus the chance to meet fellow members who are more than happy for you to join them for a round of golf.
The new owners Niki, Paul & Hazel have invested in major improvements to the course and they have big plans for future improvements.
Give Emma and John a call to book a round of golf, if you don’t have anyone to join you, no issues John will do his best to match you with a willing partner to enjoy 9/18 holes of stunning golf with some of the best views over the Sussex countryside.
After your round, Tats and her kitchen crew will serve you up some fantastic grub - see “Room with a view” for more details and great reviews.

I have been a member of this club since March following the closure of Hassocks Golf Club. I was immediately made welcome by both staff & fellow members. Improvements to the course have been made over the past six months in particular the greens are now in excellent condition. As well as arranging weekly golf competitions the club also holds regular social events. Refreshments offered in the club house are excellent & I would not hesitate in recommending this club to my family & friends.

Situated on the outskirts of Cuckfield the course offers some beautiful views, also from the restaurant.
Course has improved vastly over the past few years particularly the greens which are very good considering the long, hot summer.
It is quite undulating and some physical fitness is required.
