We took a late night bus (leaving at 9:00 pm) from El Calafate to El Chalten and had no idea what we were missing until we left to drive back. The whole Fitz Roy range is visible for you to see the whole time you...More

This is the only gas station in El Chalten and is easy to overlook. It's actually out of town on the road in/our of El Chalten. As you approach El Chalten, it's on the right side of the road--it's actually a SHIPPING CONTAINER! They do...More

We had a rental car and were going to hike in El Chalten, so we took the 2-3 hour drive up there. We stopped 4 or 5 times along the way because the views were so incredible. Don't miss this if you can help it!

We were part of a small group tour from El Calafate to El Chalten. We saw so many animals and birds: guanaco, fox, ria, eagles, caracara and condors. We were especially lucky to have the most clear weather the area had seen in a month....More

Taxis are available but where do you intend to travel from and to - the price will depend quite a bit on the route and itinerary you want them to follow
