You can't just visit one site without the others for a full experience. The feats in which the natives built and moved these Maoi is absolutely astonishing. You have got to see the whole island to understand it. Highly recommend going with a local guide.

Always heard about this mystic and exotic island, finally to be here with what I always seen in documentary show is so mind blowing. Do not do this without a local guide, you be missing many details.

Readers, my wife and I have travelled many places in this beautiful world, so please trust when I say this place is a must see! Yes, it is a 5 hour or so flight from Santiago but well worth the trip. When you first get off the plane here, it reminds you of Hawaii. A bit later you notice it... More

I loved Easter Island with all of the maois, altars and history. I hinknit is important to have a guide as the knowledge and myths that she shares with you is invaluable. Ata was our guide and he was amazing. Through his insights I was able to appreciate the park, the people and the artifacts!

All the must see archeological sites are part of the park (you can see some restored Ahu and Moai in town without needing park tickets). Tickets are available at the airport when you arrive, as well as a ticket office downtown and at the park headquarters. You have to use cash to buy the tickets (currently $80 US or $50.000... More

If you can, spend at least 4 days on the island... even better staying a week. Get an all day tour with a talented local guide: for francophones I highly recommend Regis from Henua Tour. Book your tour in advance: henua.tour@yahoo.com The ticket is pretty expensive with 2 locations you can visit only once, but it is so worth it... More

These parks are their past and beautiful. It is the reason to visit. Pay for your pass at the airport and don't loose it. Good for 5 days.
