We rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours on 7/21/20. We opted for the slower pet and fishing friendly pontoon boat. We just cruised around the lake, went swimming/snorkeling. Everything went really well, we wish we would have booked it for 8 hours. We will be using them again.

Our party (Hansen/Harris) rented a pontoon boat for Sunday, May 31st 2-6 pm. Upon arrival, Lost Bridge Marina informed us they no longer had a boat available to accommodate our size group, as they accidentally offered our boat to another party earlier that day. Very disappointing!

We travel often and our stay here was a special occassion, so to say we were disappointed is an understatement. (30 year anniversary and 65 birthday trip). Never having been to the lake before, we missed the hotel and ended up at the marina. Service there was condescending and rude. We were told the hotel was at the top of the hill. (which hill?) We were told we received an email to the room door; however it wouldn't work until 3:00 PM with no other explaination. We didn't receive an email and had no idea what to do. Then we find the hotel and couldn't find our room. there is no office and no one to ask. I found a number in the reservation confirmation and was told the room was in the back. After finding the room, we still couldn't get in and had to call again to get the 10 digit passcode to get into the room. The gentleman that answered was polite and called someone for assistance, then called us back with the #. We never received the email with the details, didn't know we were supposed to. While driving to the back of the building, behind a barn and the empty office, we found our room. We drove by an old flat tire/wheel and a broken down air conditioner casing (part way in the driveway). Our room was next to the dumpter where the trash was scattered around the ground. We found that the door knob appeared to be recently changed to have the digit passcode installed and the old key knob was on the outside window ledge above the extremely noisy air conditioner. For the back downstairs rooms across two buildings, there were two undercounter size fire estinguishers that were almost empty with the tags ripped off. If you are alergic or have problems with Mold, do not stay here. There is mold on the concrete sidewalk and on the door, doorframe, etc... The toilet seat was broken. A very unwelcoming sign is posted on the inside of the entry door stating "Truth in Advertising... Should you decide to keep one of our appliances, furnishings... there will be a 500% mark-up on the items.... What a welcome, cruddy entry then assumed all patrons are theifs... Nastiest place we've every stayed. Would call it a DUMP, but would be an insult to any place considered a dump. Manager was the most unpleasant/unfriendly person we encountered the entire week we where there.

My wife and I rented a small ski boat to explore the lake on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. Even though I have my Captain’s license I’m always interested in how a marina instructs boat renters before they leave the dock. The paperwork was thoroughly explained. I was shown on a chart where to go and where not to go. The on board safety check was clear and complete. The boat ran well and we had a wonderful afternoon on the lake. What stood out however was the excellent customer service provided by Marina owner Jim and his team to ensure we had a satisfactory afternoon. I highly recommend Lost Bridge Marina for a fun day on Beaver Lake.

Unfortunately we were disappointed in the rental. The boat was a older boat with torn carpet and upholstery. The radio was broken, the fuel gauge didn't work (it was stuck on 3/4 tank when we received it) never moved, the dock hand said don't worry the tank is full. The battery died and we had to be towed back to the dock. Fortunately we were just on the other side of the dock. The ladder was horrible, I think it was probably broken too. there would be a large majority of people who would not be able to get back in the boat, which is very dangerous and risky on your part. I would have thought all those things would have been fixed during the winter months to bring the boat up to rental quality. When we brought the boat back,I told the dock personnel of our concerns, but it truly fell on deaf ears. We had always used your Marina in the past, but probably will not be doing any rentals in the future. The boat rental with taxes and gas was close to $400 dollars, and I would have expected the quality to be at a much higher level. They said we used 16 gallons of gas, but that is hard to believe when we mainly parked the boat and swam. The gas gauge is also risky not knowing how much gas you truly have. The staff was more interested in the rental than customer service or quality. We would definitely not rent a boat from them again. The boat was misrepresented and was suppose to be a 17 foot ski boat.
