Going to the Basilica de la Chinita is a wonderful experience for what it represents for Catholics and as a place to visit. I went in November because on that date the Virgin can be seen close up. A peace and beauty is transmitted and I pray for my family and my country.

If you find yourself in Maracaibo, do not pass up the opportunity to visit this jewel. Admittedly, Maracaibo presents challenges. But this stunning church will convince you that Maracaibo was and can be (hopefully, very soon) a remarkable destination imbued with history and culture

This is a place like not many. if you have faith or not, our blessed mother Chinita will make sure you receive the blessings that will change your life. There are not enough words to describe the experience. 1000% recommended. Don't call it an attraction, this is way more than that

This is a must see while in Maracaibo. The attention to detail is really noteworthy. Regardless of you faith or beliefs, La Chinita is a place held dearly to just about all in Maracaibo. Really enjoyed our visit.

This basilica is an amazing art treasure. It appears as though every inch is covered with some sort of art piece. I was able to see everything upfront. Beware: no hats and covered shoulders!

Visiting Maracaibo, and if you are catholic, and not visiting "La Chinita" is like you didnt go there at all! It is quite a beautiful Marian Experience. After you leave the basilica you can experience visiting the old city ... Just as a remainder be careful with your belongins...

We went there during Feria de la Chinita and it was amazing seeing all the devotees there. We had a great time. We didn't get a chance to go inside but I've been there before and it's truly a beautiful church.

Basilica of St John of God, home of the Patroness of Maracaibo, Our Lady of Chiquinquira, who is orshiped by millions of people around Venezuela. This Basilica has a marble floor recently renovated. Wood carved chairs. But the main and central attraction is the little table with the Miracolous image of the Virgin Mary and St, Andrew and St Anthony.... More
