Friendly, English Speaking Owner and Beautiful Museum
I learned that the Owner herself was at the Entrance selling tickets to her museum. She explained what I could see inside. Museum used to be a private home. Entrance fee is 5 dirams. It was not crowded when I began my tour. Every room has interesting things to admire and take photos for: Ceramics, Pictures, Rooms with some mannequins, library, spiral staircase, etc. There is a small toilet near the Entrance Door. It got crowded when I was leaving as buses of tourists arrived.

You cannot leave Sidi Bou Said without visiting Dar El Annabi
You cannot leave Sidi Bou Said without visiting Dar El Annabi. It was certainly my favorite spot in Sidi Bou Said, second only to walking through the vibrant streets adorned with colorful doors. The entrance ticket to Dar El Annabi is 5 Dinars, which includes a complimentary tea. For me, the main attraction was the entire house; it was a delightful immersion into the past. Exploring how people lived, from the prayer room to the study, and the cozy places to escape the sun, all contributed to the charm. The terrace offered a captivating view, while the small details, such as the paintings and books, added to the experience.I concluded my visit with a break in the shade, savoring the glass of tea away from the tourist crowds.

A glimpse into traditional Tunisian lifestyle.
Very busy. This museum is located in the neighbourhood of Sidi Bou Saïd. You can get a glimpse into traditional Tunisian lifestyle. I enjoyed exploring the many rooms. Climb to the top for lovely views of the city. The courtyard is a nice place to have a drink and a little break.

    Clearly a must see
Especially if you are a bit tired of tourist shops. Beautiful large house of a wealthy family (seems the patriarch was a cardiologist with his clinic and library in the back). Spend half an hour to walk through all the rooms and enjoy the beautiful view from the roof terrace. Many details are so interesting to look at. Be wary of the dude at the exit distributing the small flowers like a present of the house and then chasing you down the road for money….;-)

An incredible place, with entrance fee a mere pittance: 5 TD. Although the woman who took my money scowled at me, she later served two glasses of included mint tea with a smile so go figure. I was the only tourist on a weekday lunch visit.

I could have lingered for another hour inspecting all the details… a beautiful place with an incredibly relaxing vibe. There’s printouts in different languages including English.

Venturing into the Dar el Ennebi Museum is akin to stepping into the intimate quarters of Tunisia's rich history. This former abode of a prominent family offers visitors an unmatched glimpse into a luxurious and authentic lifestyle. As you weave through the corridors, you'll be met with a unique blend of timeworn artifacts and more recent pieces, some of which might evoke the warm nostalgia of bygone days. It's a delightful paradox, witnessing objects from one's childhood nestled within a museum setting. After journeying through this tapestry of history, make your way to the rooftop. There, you'll be rewarded with a panoramic view that encapsulates the beauty and essence of the surroundings. A visit to Dar el Ennebi isn't just about the past; it's a rendezvous with memories, culture, and unparalleled vistas.

This is a traditional Tunisian house aged more than 200 years old and now is converted to a museum. Entry is TND 5 plus complementary cup of tea. Well, amazing visit, nice decorated house mainly blue and white colors. You can visit the room and read each story. Mosque, dining, roof, library, amazing stairs and others. Excellent place to learn more about Tunisian culture.

Difficult to spot this small museum as no visible signs at entrance. You have to go close to see the announce. We almost missed it, luckily some tourists told us just before leaving the town.
Entrance fee was 2 euro, one of the best way to spent this amount. At the entrance you will not believe how big is the house inside. In fact you will see a traditional house of the region well illustrated with some usual life moments. Take your time, maybe a bit more than 30 minutes needed, especially if you want to catch some details.

I really liked this enchanted parenthesis. The atmosphere, the welcome, the beauty and the freshness of the place. The free tour is pleasant, the mint tea break in the patio very pleasant, ending with the terraces with a breathtaking 360° view. The owners made the effort to leave the house furnished with a few wax figures in period costume to make the atmosphere more realistic. The background music adds a little extra to the atmosphere.
