What a wonderful day we had. We were visiting friends and we spent the day out on the lake in their houseboat. We cruised around to many areas, enjoying the serenity and the beautiful views. After anchoring in a relatively quiet area, a number of our friends did some swimming off the boat. We returned to the dock just as... More

Sunday drive to this lake was a treat! Loved crossing the bridges to see panoramic views of the lake. Would like to return to rent a boat and just ride around the lake. So pretty. Only down side is that the views are not easy to get to.

The lake is magnificent. The scenery is just beautiful. The fishing is excellent. I booked a guided fishing trip with the Bud Lady Fishing Guide and had a great time.

The Greers Ferry Dam construction began in the late 1950's and was completed in 1962. When you visit the lookout over the dam, you have a beautiful view of the lake. Be sure to read the short histories in the plaques there. Two workers lost their lives during construction. President Kennedy dedicated this dam in October of 1963. I was... More

We took a morning drive all the way around the lake! Leaving from Lindsey Resort/Heber Springs, we drove up and around to Fairfield Bay. back in Heber Springs . It was a beautiful drive with peek a boo views and crossings over the lake. There were plenty of parks along the way to stop to stretch. Next we stopped at... More

Wow! Gorgeous, fun, scenic. Glad boated when the school had just begun. We rented from the Eden Isle marina. Great prices, great service.

We have been to other lakes in Arkansas but Greers Ferry was/is the best. The water was very clear & refreshing. The amount of boat traffic was light which was nice. The night life is very slow so be sure to take whatever supplies you need as eating out is not a big option. I am sure there are good... More

This was only 7 miles from our hotel in Heber Springs. The beach area was very crowded and dirty with glass. Make sure you wear water shoes because of all the rocks. On the other side of the lake my older children and husband had better luck, the water was clean and clear. They enjoyed jumping off the cliffs and... More

I enjoyed the lake during the weekdays and hated it on the weekends. We had one cold front after another blow through during our month long stay and we also had several really good fishing weekdays. Trying to fish on the weekends with all the big engine pontoon boats and folks throwing giant wakes cruising by with their music blasting... More
