We stayed at a local hotel , walked the town looking for a lunch spot, there was a plaza were you order and all the restaurants provide from the menu,so you actually get billed by 2 or 3 vendors while seating at the plaza. Great spot , food was ok...but needed more hearted into their culture = flavor - and soul. Was there 15 years earlier but the plaza still the same - historic and safe town to stay in. …

This place blew me away. First, the decor is absolutely beautiful inside and in their outdoor garden. Nice selection of chocolate drinks, chocolate beer, liqueur, etc. The churro with a side of dipping chocolate was outstanding. Loved this place. It also gas a small museum attached to it. Not that informative but cute.…

This is a charming, little museum that has three different locations throughout the town, one of which has a hotel on the top floor. Aside from getting free chocolate, you can purchase chocolates and sweets, learn about the history of chocolate and see many fun curiosities. More fun than historically relevant, this is a great place to stop by.…

Really cool place done to the nines in terms of decor. Great truffles sold on the street side of the restaurant, but make a point to go for dinner. Exceptional service and a really nice paella. Best chocolate milkshake I’ve had in a long time!

First of all, we came to this place thinking they will offer some sort of history about chocolate or about what they do, since their name is Chocolate Museum, but that wasn't the case. We asked for the flavor that were offering but they don't offer any samples so you buy at your own risk. Then my friends decided to buy some chocolates to try them out. They were terrible. Toooooooo sweet, is so sweet that you don't taste the chocolate you just taste sugar. They were not very fresh either. We don't understand why Colombians that come to Villa are sooo obsessed with this place. The may not know what a good chocolate is, I don't know. But all I have left to say is: not good quality chocolate, not freshness in ingredients, the place is grotesque (decoration is sooo overwhelming), and not good service.…

Good Night: We appreciate your opinion about the chocolate museum villa de leyva. We like to work, we like to be criticized, we love to improve. The museum has two tasting points of unlimited chocolate (semi bitter, white and milk chocolate). Likewise, we managed percentages of cocoa concentration from 34% to 96%. Flavor options with or without sugar, maltitol or stevia, as well as the option with or without gluten. Thank you.
